The College of Veterinary Medicine complex contains three separate 4-story buildings connected by an elevated walkway. The complex consists of an academic building, classroom/administrative building, and laboratory building and promotes connectivity between the Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences portions of the college, encourages interaction between students, faculty, research and staff. This state-of-the art facility was designed with flexibility in mind with low-profile access flooring, moveable wall system, operable partitions, and retractable seating in the large auditorium spaces. The facility can accommodate 1,000 people in a conference setting and contains outdoor public space, seminar rooms, live animal study specialist learning and group study spaces, and individual support spaces. The facility was designed with sustainability in mind and met the equivalent of LEED Silver design.
