Apogee Stadium

University of North Texas

This was a LEED Platinum-certified stadium project in the growing college town of Denton, located in suburban Dallas. Home to University of North Texas’ football team, the stadium opened with a capacity of 50,000. Amenities include a club lounge, luxury suites, concessions, locker rooms and retail spaces. Apogee Stadium is noteworthy for being the first college stadium in the United States with on-site wind power. The sustainable design allows it to restore more than 50 percent of the site in landscaping native to the North Texas climate. Additionally, permeable pavers reduce stormwater runoff and minimize the heat island effect.
