The Pecos County Rest Area in Texas consists of two one-story. 7,555 SF buildings equipped with public restrooms, vending and picnic areas, play spaces, and cultural and historical exhibits. The Texas Department of Transportation’s goal was to enhance highway safety by providing a welcoming and engaging place to take a break from traveling.
