Potter County Courthouse Restoration

Potter County

The restoration and rehabilitation of the historic 1932 Potter County Courthouse included several modifications to the 58,000 SF building. Among them were the restoration of the building facade, interior restoration, integration of a new MEP, installation of fire alarm/sprinkler and technology systems and the installation of new egress stairs to meet life-safety requirements. Other work was outlined in the Building and Program Analysis, approved and funded by the Texas Historical Commission under the Texas Historic Courthouse Preservation Program. Additionally, the courthouse square was restored and updated to create a more pedestrian-friendly environment. This project received the 2013 Platinum Reconstruction Award from Building Design + Construction magazine.
