Harry Ransom Center Building Exterior Maintenance

Originally completed in 1969 as the Humanities Research Center and Graduate Library at the University of Texas at Austin, the seven-story, 288,000 SF Harry Ransom Center underwent an exterior maintenance program consisting of repairing deteriorated mortar joints in the exterior shell-stone panels, joint sealant removal and replacement, repair of damaged window panes, replacement of gaskets at all pivoting window units, exterior cleaning, painting and replacement of weatherstripping at emergency exit doors, repair of the avian aversion system, and replacement of broken stone paving units at grade level.
