Satellite Utility Plant

The University of Texas at Dallas

This project featured an automated satellite utility plant designed to work with the existing Central Energy Plant at The University of Texas at Dallas, using the existing underground distribution system. The plant provides space for up to three variable speed chillers, as well as associated pumps, power and control systems. The two-cell, roof-mounted cooling tower included provisions for an additional cell, and the project also consisted of roadway, parking and walkway improvements around the plant.
