Integrated Pipeline (IPL) Pump Stations JB3 & JCC1 Substations

Tarrant Regional Water District/Dallas Water Utilities

This project included the foundation design for a substantial number of electrical substation structures, performance specification of the steel superstructures that support electrical equipment or involve freestanding masts, and the rigid bus design. JQ performed the structural and civil engineering work at two substations, both of which serve large pumping stations. The substations are part of a 150-mile, 350 MGD raw water transmission pipeline system that eventually will include a total of five pump and electrical substations bringing water from Lake Palestine in east Texas to Joe Pool Lake in Dallas County, serving customers of Dallas Water Utilities and the Trinity Regional Water District.
