Saigling House Restoration

City of Plano

The Saigling House, built in 1906, has been restored to how it appeared in the 1920s and now houses ArtCentre of Plano. JQ provided structural assessment and recommended repairs. Additionally, the firm strengthened the first floor of the structure to allow for a higher live load capacity and made structural repairs to the kitchen, restroom and attic. The civil engineering scope included grading, drainage of open areas around the building, accessibility issues, utilities, additional street parking and pedestrian sidewalks. Outdoor space was designed and graded to allow for outdoor events, a stage and seating areas.
