As Marketing and Business Development Director, Emily helps set the tone for the overall communication efforts firm-wide, positioning JQ for long-term success. She is responsible for developing, organizing, and coordinating programs and initiatives focused on implementing JQ’s strategic marketing and business development plans. Emily plays a key role in improving current practices both internally and externally and develops approaches to help guide the future of our firm. With a background in journalism, Emily brings a proven history of making connections, building trust and meeting daily deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Education: BS in Journalism, Boston University

Talk to me about: My two daughters and the hilarious things they do and say; My love or organization, yet lack of time to actually get organized; Television news and my past life as an anchor/reporter

People would be surprised if they knew: I worked side-by-side (literally) with my boyfriend for six years. And the best part…we survived and even got married! He was the sports anchor, while I did news.

What one accomplishment (professional or personal) are you most proud of? Professionally, it’s knowing that I am continuing a legacy that my father helped shape as one of the co-founders of JQ. While he retired years ago, I am proud that I continue to play a part in JQ’s future success. Personally, I’m proud that my kids are growing up to be kind, empathetic and inclusive souls and that I have a supportive husband to help me navigate parenthood.

What’s your favorite thing about working at JQ? The fact that leadership listens, encourages, and is involved in marketing and business development. Our team is not seen as “just overhead” and our voices are valued.
