Akshai serves as a Senior Project Manager in JQ’s Houston office. His experience includes more than a decade of working on a wide range of projects — from healthcare to education to manufacturing — encompassing design, construction administration and forensic design. He spent four years in the forensic and evaluation field prior to developing his skill set in design and construction services for various public and private projects.

What’s your favorite thing about working at JQ: The camaraderie and relationships I have built with my colleagues and peers. I left JQ with a heavy heart in 2007, and when I had an opportunity to come back in 2009, I was excited to be welcomed back and continue to develop a rapport with the next generation of leaders in the firm.

What are you most passionate about in your profession: Developing more collaborative projects with the A/E, contractor and owner aligned, so that there are fewer bureaucratic pitfalls and less contention regarding where responsibility lies
