Woodrow Wilson High School Addition and Renovation

Dallas ISD

“As part of the 2015 Dallas ISD Bond Program, the historic Woodrow Wilson High School added a 60,000 SF addition.  The addition included a new gymnasium, fine arts space and classrooms with a focus on engineering, labs and robotics. The addition was added in a way to preserve the historic portions of the school.

The new construction required an ICC 500 storm shelter.  The storm shelter was located in the gymnasium and provides shelter for the adjacent J.L. Long Middle School in addition to Woodrow Wilson High School.  The total shelter population is 3,450 people.”
