South Oak Cliff High School Addition and Renovation

Dallas ISD

Funded through the 2015 Dallas ISD Bond Program, the transformation of South Oak Cliff High School included a major renovation of the school – about 90% of the building – and additions totaling 60,000 SF. A two-story addition houses science labs, community meeting spaces, administrative offices and a more open entryway. The athletic facility addition includes a gymnasium, weight room and auxiliary gym that also serves as a storm shelter. The project also focused on the outdoor learning component with re-purposing courtyards for learning and seating.
