White Rock Primary Clarifier Improvements, Central Wastewater Treatment Plant

Dallas Water Utilities

This project consists of the structural evaluation of the existing Dallas White Rock Primary Clarifiers (PC1-6), which were originally constructed in the 1950s and early 1960s, as well as modifications to allow for the installation of new mechanical equipment. General maintenance and modifications were made to the structure to bring it up to current code, provide better maintenance access and accommodate the installation of new primary clarifier mechanisms. The goal of the project was to provide Dallas Water Utilities with six new primary clarifiers with an anticipated service life of 30 years, as well as the ability to isolate individual clarifiers for plant operations and maintenance flexibility.
