JQ performed civil engineering and surveying services for the expansion of the Ysleta Port of Entry, located on a 37 acre tract of land in El Paso, Texas. The improvements include construction of eight additional inspection bays for commercial inspection, a new parking area for the Import Dock Offices, and four new vehicle exit lanes. Renovation of several of the support facilities and improvement to include the interior vehicular circulation was also part of the scope of the project. The site storm water run-off from the facility is mitigated by five detention ponds. Improvements to the larger of the ponds were required to accommodate the commercial vehicle inspection bays.
