The SMU Rowing Club wanted to repurpose the historic White Rock Pump Station Filter and Basin. A structural review was required for the new roof over the basin, the stair and deck area, door openings and modifications on the operating floor of the filter building. Once the review was completed and recommendations made the scope of the project expanded to include a boat storage area, conversion of the filter building to office and event space and miscellaneous patching of the existing structure. JQ services included determination of the primary structural framing system, preparation of construction drawings and preparation of structural specifications.
