SF/Floors: 3,000 SF
Construction Delivery Method: CMAR
Awards: Preservation Dallas - Preservation Achievement Award, 2011
Originally built in 1897, the historic Frankford Church in Dallas, Texas was restored in 2010. The sensitive rehabilitation included a complete interior and exterior restoration, integration of new mechanical and electrical systems. It also included stabilizing and reinforcing the over 100 year old foundation, replacing or repairing the original bois d'arc piers, repairing the wood floor joists and framing, and replacement of the wall anchors for the cross ties at the eave. A new mechanical space was created beneath the building. In order to preserve this historical building, the church was moved temporarily during the construction phase. Preservation Dallas awarded the project its 2011 Preservation Achievement Award. JQ performed Structural Engineering on the project.
