Warehouse Expansion

Frito Lay North America

This project consists of a one-story, 80,000 SF Geographic Enterprise Solution (GES) warehouse expansion and a 40,000 SF Automated Supply and Retrieval System (ASRS) warehouse to the existing facility. The GES warehouse is one of several such facilities across the country which are aimed at reducing the amount of manual handling throughout the supply chain to drive productivity by using robotics and technology. The GES warehouse also contains 55,000 SF of mezzanines with an intricate system of conveyors. The ASRS is an 80-foot tall rack supported building with automated product retrieval that operates on a rail system. The project also contained 10,500 SF of office renovations and two office additions containing 3,000 SF. Site improvements included a parking area for 75 tractor trailers, 66 passenger vehicles and 50 truck parking areas. In addition, JQ provided design for a stormwater system to convey the water towards the existing drainage channel and installation of a 12” fire water loop around the site.
