Jamie Buchanan, PE, LEED AP
Having earned his degree in Architectural Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, Jamie Buchanan, PE, LEED AP joined the JQ Austin office as an assistant and quickly progressed from CAD technician to his current position as Project Manager.
As an engineer, Jamie is dedicated to delivering the design aesthetic the architect intends, tackling the tough design challenges that can stand in the way of bringing architectural vision to life. Jamie’s responsibilities may involve structural design and construction administration, but he’s also been known to crawl inside the Max Starcke Dam on the Colorado River in search of damage or to brave the top of UT Austin’s “Godzillatron” to troubleshoot a malfunctioning jib crane, all in the name of getting the job done. Jamie is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers and the United States Green Building Council.
